How To Setup WSFTP PRO to access your Personal Website

Download a trial version (or buy the full version) from IPSwitch
or from the Family's Choice site here (click save when prompted).

(to enlarge any picture, click on it; press back on your browser to return)
01.gif (9702 bytes) Installation Welcome Screen
03.gif (9749 bytes) Leave defaults and click next
04.gif (8381 bytes) Leave defaults and click next
05.gif (10189 bytes) Leave defaults and click next
wsftpicon.gif (1224 bytes) Your PC will restart. When it comes back up, click on the icon that looks like the one to the left to start the program.

Step 2 Configure the Software
configuredsites.gif (11896 bytes) Click New to Create an Icon for your website
newsite.gif (7088 bytes) Enter a Name for your Website
siteip.gif (6712 bytes) Enter the website address:
www.fccom.net or www.fcnet.net
(will match your email address)
login_info.gif (6979 bytes) Enter your username (without the @)
and password.
passive.gif (8967 bytes) Remote port: for fccom.net 21
For fcnet.net - see your documentation for your website setup. If you don't have it or can't find it, contact customer support
Check Passive Transfers
09session.gif (6146 bytes) OPTIONAL
Click Properties, then Session
Select Startup Transfer mode: ASCII
(When transferring graphics files, you may need to temporarily switch to Binary if your graphic files don't look as sharp as they should)
startsite.gif (11907 bytes) That's it.. Double click on the new icon with the name you put in. You should connect to your site.
wsftp_interface.gif (20411 bytes) Your view shows you PC files on your left, and website files on your right. To transfer files back and forth use the arrows in the middle to move them from one side to the other.
