How To Setup Multiple Email Accounts |
1. Add the email to your account by requesting a
new email account here.
2. Setup your Email Software to use the New account
(See Instructions below)
Setting up email Software to use your new email Account |
Before you can use the new email account you've
just set up, you must configure your software to use the new account.
Software Configuration Options:
1. Setup Multiple Identities in Outlook Express Or Netscape Messenger (in
Netscape they're called profiles)
2. Setup a separate email software to use the new email account (For
example, if you're using Outlook express, setup a new account in Netscape, or Eudora
Light).

Setting up Outlook
Express For Multiple Emails
Step 1. Create the New Identity
File
Identities (Click to view picture)
Add New Identity
Type a name for the Identity in the "Type your Name Box"
Check Require password if desired
click OKAY button
Do you want to switch to (New ID name you just made) now
Yes
(Outlook will disappear and reopen)
You will be in the Internet Connection Wizard
Step 2. Enter the Settings for the new account
For "Display Name" enter the name you want people to see when
they get an email from you.
Click Next
Email Address
Enter the separate email address supplied to you by Families Choice Internet. It has the
form username@fcnet.net or username@fccom.net
Incoming/Outgoing Mail server
The mail servers are:
If your email address ends in @fccom.net
your incoming/outgoing
server is mail.fccom.net
If your email address ends in @fcnet.net your incoming/outgoing
server is mail.fcnet.net
Use the SAME server for the Outgoing and Incoming mail.
Click Next
Account Name
enter the portion of the address before the @ (don't enter the @fcnet.net or @fccom.net)
password - Enter your password
Congratulations - click finish
If you have items to import, you may import,
otherwise click Do not import at this time
and click Next
Click Finish
You are now in the New Identity
You may switch between Identities by going to
File
Switch Identities
(Choose the Identity you want to switch to)
Setting Up Netscape
Messenger to Use Multiple Email Addresses
Goto:
Windows Startmenu 
Programs
Netscape Communicator
Utilities Folder
User Profile Manager (click to view picture)
Click New
Next
In the "Profile Name" Box Enter the name of the
new email account, or the new user
Leave the default path alone
Next
Will you be using the same internet account as another profile?
Click Yes (Middle button)
Next
Select the internet account
Your dialup name should be listed as
"Family's Choice Internet"
Next
Full Name
Enter your name as you people people to see it
in the "from" box when they receive an email from this account
Email Address
Enter the new email address you requested
next
Outgoing SMTP server
If your email address ends in @fccom.net your outgoing
SMTP server is mail.fccom.net
If your email address ends in @fcnet.net your outgoing
SMTP server is mail.fcnet.net
Mail Server User Name
this is the email address WITHOUT the @fccom.net or @Fcnet.net portion
Incoming Mail Server
If your email address ends in @fccom.net your incoming
mail server is mail.fccom.net
If your email address ends in @fcnet.net your incoming
mail server is mail.fcnet.net
The mail server type is POP (should already be selected)
Next
News (NNTP) Server is
news.fcnet.net
leave the default port of 119 there
Next
Your New Email box will be created and open.
After you close it, when ever you Open Netscape Navigator or Communicator
you will be prompted for which account you want to use

Select the account for the email you want to retrieve or send from.
Select the account you want them press the Start Communicator
Once inside Netscape Communicator, you can toggle between viewing
WebPages and email by going to the menu bar, Clicking Communicator
then select
Navigator to view WebPages
Messenger to view Email
