Print U.S. Postage from your Printer

Intro
Don't go to the post office - print postage for all your letters, bills and packages from your desktop, 24 hours a day. Save time and money! Print exactly the postage you need directly on envelopes and labels, using just your PC, printer and Internet connection. It's easy to get started, and the software is free!

Concepts
This concept is easy to grasp. Instead of wasting time and gas, driving to, then standing in line at the Post Office to buy stamps, you setup and account with stamps.com, put some money in your account, then print stamps on your home printer - the cost of which is deducted from your account.

Resources
Not much is needed. If you're reading this, we'll assume a computer and an internet connection; In addition, you'll need  a printer, a stamps.com account, and the stamps.com software.  If you do other than standard envelopes, you'll need a postage scale so you don't have to guess at the weight. You can get an electronic one that works with stamps.com, or you can go to your local office supply store and get an inexpensive standard (spring) scale.

Technical Considerations

While most printers are compatible with stamps.com, older printers may have a problem. The stamps.com setup will test your printer to insure it is compatible.

Final Note
These are all the components you need. Why not give it a try? We're sure once you experience the convenience of printing postage from your PC, you won't want to be without the option again.
